Dr. Paul DeCesare is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. He served as Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy for 4 years post-graduation. Dr. Paul was a member of the Rhode Island Board of Examiners in Optometry for a decade and is a past president and longstanding member of the Rhode Island American Optometric Association. He has been practicing at DeCesare Eye Associates for over 40 years where he practices comprehensive family eye care.
Dr. Cassandra Oliveira is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. She completed her Master of Science degree in Health Services Research at Boston University, followed by a Doctor of Optometry at MCPHS University. Dr. Oliveira worked in the public health research sector at Rhode Island Hospital for multiple years, including research in the Cape Verde Islands. She has completed various externships in primary care, ocular disease at Boston community health centers, and scleral lens fittings at Boston Foundation for Sight. Dr. Oliveira speaks Portuguese and Spanish. She joined the staff at DeCesare Eye Associates in 2016.
Joan "boss-lady" Jackson is the office manager at DeCesare Eye Associates, where she has worked for over 16 years. Prior to her time at our office, she served as an administrator in Radiology for a private practice in Warren, RI. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Providence College.
Dr. Victor Paul was born and raised in New York City. He attended Hunter College in Manhattan where he developed his love for health care and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Biological Sciences in 2015. He went on to attend the Massachusetts's college of pharmacy and health Sciences School of Optometry and completed his Doctorate in spring of 2020. His clinical training includes rotations at the Eye and Vision center and family health center in Worcester, MA, Ocular disease training at the Eye Centers Of South Florida in North Miami Beach as well as rigorous training at the Providence Veterans Hospital here in Providence, RI.
Dr. Victor enjoys going to the gym and playing basketball during his downtime.
